Their dedication to their profession and personal service has allowed them the opportunity to nurture and grow long-lasting relationships within the community. Children, who once accompanied their parents to the store, have since become long-standing customers themselves.

In the more than three decades of service they have witnessed many changes to their beloved hamlet and, in 2011, made a change of their own, relocating The Framer’s Workshop to it’s current location at 528 North Main Street (on the east side of Main Street, just north of University Drive). The new location, c. 1946, once housed farm implements, an auto dealership and later home appliances. Jim and Alice are proud to put their mark on the history of this great site.

The Framer’s Workshop specializes in creative design. Not only do they offer the highest quality materials including thousands of moulding choices, conservation matting, and ultraviolet-filtering glass, but they can create frames to meet your budget. The store also houses a wide array of art prints and posters, both framed and unframed, making it possible to find just the right accent for any setting.

For Jim and Alice, Rochester is more than a place to do business; it’s their home. It is where they raised their children and where their children went to school, it’s where they shop and go out for dinner on a Saturday night. When you are in the area, be sure to stop in and say hello and, if you need to frame a special poster, or fine art print, or original painting, or need to have a shadowbox made for military medals or for some cherished mementos, know that Jim and Alice will treat your treasure with the utmost respect and dedication to excellence.
